Dip Your Toes in the Personalized Learning Waters - PL Experiences for Elementary Students

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Explore different iterations of what personalized learning can look like in your elementary classroom, including a Shark Tank Simulation and Genius Hour for the lower elementary grades. After engaging in Growth Mindset activities and exploring literary connections, attendees will experience a brief Genius Hour simulation themselves, getting a firsthand look at how to get students excited about a personalized approach to instruction. Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from the student perspective about the learning opportunities.

The presentation will also share ideas about how to best incorporate the use of Common Core standards and authentic student assessments. In addition, various Web 2.0 tools that assist in management of the project and offer students voice and choice in sharing their final products will be reviewed, including Move Note, Symbaloo, Screencast-o-Matic, Do Ink Green Screen App, Kid Blog, Google Classroom, We Video, Common Sense Media, PowToon, Emaze, Animoto, and Bib Me.
